Some potential drawbacks to living in King of Prussia include:

-
- Further From Center City
-

Perhaps you don’t need to be at the office every day, and want more of a “city vibe” or “local town” vibe that you don’t feel at King of Prussia.
Perhaps you want more events, pet-friendly vibe, and easier access to downtown.
Or maybe your spouse, partner, or roommate has a job elsewhere, and you’d like to find somewhere equidistant.
Whatever the case, if you are looking for more of that city or small-town vibe experience, there are several other options to consider, and still be close to work in King of Prussia, including:
-
- Conshohocken
-
- East Falls
-
- Roxborough
-
- Manayunk
Each of the above four neighborhoods offer something different.
Conshohocken (Conshy) – Has some restaurants, and train station, but it does not really have as robust of a central Main Street as Manayunk (our opinion), and not as close to the city. Not as close to major park systems of Philadelphia. 15 minutes to King of Prussia.
East Falls – Furthest from KOP, and no central Main Street, some scattering of restaurants. Least expensive area, other than Roxborough. 21 minutes to King of Prussia.
Roxborough – Lots of single-family housing and some new construction buildings of 20+ units. There is a commercial corridor on Ridge Avenue, but mostly big box shops. It is near a bunch of parks and green area. 20 minutes to King of Prussia.
Manayunk – Has its own walkable main street, ton of restaurants, virtually all locally owned. Top 10 most loved neighborhood in the United States of America per Zillow. Similar in pricing to Conshy. Near Wissahickon Park and tons of parks and trails. 17 minutes to King of Prussia. (Also See: Reason to live in Manayunk and Work in King of Prussia). *note: We may be biased since we have an apartment building in Manayunk but do your own research, visit all areas, and compare.
